Godfrey® Pontoon Boats For Sale in Lake George
Learn More About Godfrey Pontoon Boats
Pontoon boats get their name from their most striking features - the buoyant pontoons used to keep them afloat. The pontoons are also known as tubes, and the better their quality, the more power the boat has. While earlier boats were more like floating barges, nowadays they can range from simplistic to very high-end.
Whether you're looking for a day of family fun or some hours of fishing, pontoon boats can deliver both. To check out some of the best pontoon boats for sale, including Godfrey pontoon boats, visit Yankee Boating Center at our marina in Lake George or our Thousand Islands sales center.
History of Godfrey Pontoon Boats
Founded in the early 1900s, the Godfrey Conveyor Company made conveyors to move coal and grain for about half a decade. Godfrey Marine was born in 1958 when they introduced the first all-aluminum pontoon boat - the Sanpan - at the World's Fair in Chicago. This boat had upholstery with protective covers, pressure-treated decks, convertible canopies and enclosed outboard motor compartments. After this breakthrough established them as innovative leaders, the company acquired AquaPatio from Freehold Co. Both the Sanpan and the AquaPatio remain very popular boats today.
Continuous Improvements
Godfrey pontoon boats are preferred by many boaters because they set the standard and continue to raise the bar. Not content to rest on its laurels, the company has dedicated itself to improving its products and giving its customers what they want. Their new models are thrilling, yet safe. They have more floatation, are faster to plane, and have power-assisted hydraulic steering for greater control. Godfrey pontoon boats offer more safety, increased storage space, and extruded concave spray rails to keep you and your gear dry. They also have a huge range of deck layouts, easy-care furniture, and entertainment centers.
Lasting Power
Godfrey knows how to build pontoon boats that last. Their full-length F-channel rub rail creates a durable deck edge and protects the boat from dock rash and dings. They have chambered tubes and large saddle brackets which improve performance even in rough waters, and their sealed transoms have a lifetime structural warranty. Godfrey pontoon boats use water-resistant, plug-and-play connectors that keep components dry and make it easy to replace accessories. Their fluted rail skins provide added strength, impact-damage resistance, and a jostle-free ride. The 3M adhesive tape used on all their panels eliminates vibration.
The Models
The Sanpan line has ultra-luxury pontoons that feature cutting-edge design, luxurious comfort, and state-of-the-art entertainment options. The AquaPatio pontoons retain the comfort of Godfrey boats but are designed to be more sporty, thrilling, and performance-driven. The Sweetwater® models are all about family fun with their handy features, adaptable layouts, and detailed amenities at affordable rates. The Sweetwater SR pontoon boats have a more high-end finish, comfortable seating, and adaptable layouts while still falling within an affordable price range.
