YANKEE BOATING CENTER COMPLETES FOURTH BOATING FOR BABIES FUNDRAISING EVENT

The Fourth Annual Boating for Babies Event at Yankee Boating Center didn’t disappoint, raising over $13,000 for The Glens Falls Hospital Joyce Stock Snuggery along with other local area charities 

Yankee Boating Center (www.Yankeeboat.com) located on Lake George, NY held its annual fundraising event over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd at their Marina location in Diamond Point, NY. The weekend’s weather was perfect for locals and area visitors alike to enjoy time on Lake George. The leaves were reaching their peak and the water temperatures remained mild allowing for event participants to enjoy both the views and waters of Lake George. 

The event raised funds for the Glens Falls Hospital Joyce Stock Snuggery along with additional local charities, as mentioned below. As an added bonus to the event; similar to years past, Yankee Boating Center took 50% off their regular boat rental rates for the benefit with all proceeds going to the hospital and charities. The late season event helps to bring friends and family together for the weekend to enjoy boating on Lake George during the quiet part of the season. 

Some of the local charities near and dear to the Yankee Boating Center’s staff that received donations this year include:

  • Saratoga County Animal Shelter

  • Adirondack Vets House

  • American Legion Post 862

  • Prospect Foundation

  • CR Wood Cancer Center at The Glens Falls Hospital 

  • Glens Falls Hospital Foundation

A special thank you goes out to Caffe Vero (caffevero.net) located in Lake George Village, who has continued to supply coffee and sweet treats for the event. On both Saturday and Sunday, event participants had an extra special treat while boating on beautiful Lake George. 

Andrew Brodie, General Manager of Yankee Boating Center, provided this statement about the event. “We are so grateful for local and area visitors to join us at this event. It has become a tradition that the Yankee Boating Center family looks forward to year after year. We appreciate everyone that comes out and participates in the event. Thank you again for another successful event.”
